Knole Park's eighth Amateur Foursomes, and two Canterbury names atop the Orders of Merit (3 October 2026)

The county season has wrapped up. Seven knockout finals were played at Langley Park, the Orders of Merit closed at Lamberhurst, and Kent's senior women missed a Ten Counties title by a single shot. Two Sevenoaks clubs, Knole Park and Wildernesse, came home with silverware.
Knole Park take the Amateur Foursomes for an eighth time
Langley Park Golf Club hosted the finals of seven Kent Golf knockouts on Saturday, reported on 27 September. The Amateur Foursomes, played for the 71st time, was decided on aggregate over two scratch matches between Knole Park and Cherry Lodge. Jordan Hicks and Ben Sands halved their match with George Pickett and Gareth Holvey, and Sam Statham and Sam Crowther went from 3 up after six to a 7 up win over Chris Witts and Dave Norman. It is the eighth time Knole Park have won the trophy.
Wildernesse won the Senior Foursomes 10 up on aggregate against Chislehurst, with John Spurling and Toby Shannon winning their match by 9. Chislehurst still had a strong day: their juniors beat Sidcup in the Junior Foursomes, winning the two handicap matches 5 up and 10 up, and their mixed pairs won both games 2 up against Wrotham Heath in the Captains' Cup.
David Walters of Eltham Warren, runner-up last year, won the Eric Green singles 2&1 against Robert Brack of Gillingham. Eltham Warren also took Top Club, 6 up on aggregate against Dartford after Jamie Todd and Dave Hattersley won their match 11 up. The new Peter Long Memorial Trophy, a mixed fourball betterball that started the year with 52 pairs, went to Paul McAllister and Lynne Roberts of Redlibbets, who were dormie 3 up on Dawn and Dean Sullivan of Sundridge Park after 15 and closed it out.
